Summary
The social network is the main platform of communication and relationship
building among the youth today. It is so easy to exchange a message with your
friend who is your next door neighbor through a Facebook status – in fact, it is
easier than going over to her house. So, can romance over the medium of
Facebook be far behind?
Love @ Facebook tells the story of a nineteen year old girl who falls in love with a
handsome VJ through Facebook. Vatsala Rathore locates the Facebook page of
the star, Ronit Oberoi. She starts posting comments on his Wall and soon gets
his attention. He responds and soon a relationship develops. They start flirting
with each other on Facebook and it turns into what seems to be a mutual
obsession. Vatsala hopes one day they will meet and she can make him fall in
love with her.
Meanwhile, Vatsala has an admirer closer to home. It is Ankit Rai, who is her
best friend. He is in love with her, but does not explicitly tell her how he feels
about her. He accepts her as she is and is happy to act as her confidante and
close friend.
Vatsala's friends Ankit and Janavi know how she feels about Ronit. She keeps
talking about him incessantly. She fondly cherishes the hope that one day their
Facebook relationship could turn into a real romance.
Vatsala does realize that Ankit loves her, but she is far too infatuated with the
glamorous Ronit. Ankit's love for her is taken for granted and generally ignored.
So, what eventually happens? Does Vatsala realize her dream of a romantic
relationship with the gorgeous star? Or will she realize how much Ankit loves her
and chose this down to earth relationship?
